 PRIVACY POLICY — ANTIQUE IDENTIFIER

Antique Identifier ("the app") is developed and published by Dhrumil Rakholia

("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared

with, and how long it is kept.

1. NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-IN

The app does not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name,

email address, postal address or phone number, and we cannot identify you

personally from anything the app sends us. If you write to us for support, we

receive whatever you choose to put in that email.

2. YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS

When you photograph an object or choose an image from your library and ask for

an identification, that image is sent over an encrypted connection to our

identification service, which passes it to our AI processing provider (OpenAI)

to be analysed. The analysis is returned to your device as the result you see

on screen.

Retention: an identification result is held in a temporary edge cache for up to

15 minutes, so that retrying the same photograph does not repeat the work. After

that it is deleted. We do not keep a permanent copy of your photographs, we do

not build a library of them, and we do not use them to train any AI model. Our

AI processing provider does not use data submitted through its API to train its

models.

Photographs of documents, people or anything else you would not want analysed

should not be submitted. Only submit images you are entitled to submit.

3. YOUR SAVED COLLECTION

Pieces you save — the photograph, the identification, your notes and your

folders — are stored only on your device, inside the app's own storage. We

cannot see them. They are included in an encrypted iCloud or iTunes device

backup if you make one, under Apple's terms.

Deleting a saved piece from its detail page, using "Delete my collection" in

Settings, or deleting the app removes that data from your device permanently. We

hold no copy to restore.

4. INSTALLATION IDENTIFIER AND USAGE ALLOWANCE

To count free identifications fairly, the app generates a random identifier the

first time it runs. It is not your Apple ID, your advertising identifier, or any

device serial number, and it is not linked to your identity. It is stored on

your device and sent with each identification request, where it is stored only

in hashed form alongside a count of identifications used. Deleting the app

discards the identifier.

Our identification service also processes the IP address that every internet

request necessarily carries. It is used to protect the service from abuse and is

not used to build a profile of you.

5. ANALYTICS

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in

aggregate — which screens are opened, which features are used, whether a session

crashed — so that we can fix problems and decide what to build next.

Firebase Analytics collects an app instance identifier along with technical

information such as device model, operating system version, language, country

and coarse usage events. It does not collect your name or email address, and we

do not use it to identify you. We do not use this data for advertising, we do

not sell it, and the app does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) or ask

for App Tracking Transparency permission.

https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can stop analytics collection by

deleting the app.

6. PURCHASES

Antique Plus subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store. Payment is

handled entirely by Apple: we never see your card details, and we never receive

your billing address.

We use RevenueCat to verify the purchase receipt and to tell the app whether a

subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the purchase transaction and an

anonymous subscriber identifier, not your payment details. See

https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered

by Apple's own privacy policy.

7. WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers or data

brokers. Data is shared only with the service providers who make the app work:

  - Google Firebase — analytics

  - RevenueCat — subscription status

  - Apple — payment processing and app distribution

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to.

8. SECURITY

All communication between the app and our services uses HTTPS. Our AI provider's

key is held on our server and never ships inside the app. No system is perfectly

secure, but we do not store the things that would be most sensitive if breached:

we hold no accounts, no passwords, no payment details and no permanent copies of

your photographs.

9. CHILDREN

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect

personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with

personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Because the app holds no account, the fastest way to exercise your rights is

directly on your device: "Delete my collection" in Settings removes your saved

data, and deleting the app removes everything the app holds, including the

installation identifier.

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the UK and EU, and the

CCPA in California — you may have the right to request access to, correction of,

or deletion of personal information we hold, and to object to certain

processing. Write to dhrumilrakholiya333@gmail.com and we will respond within

30 days. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

11. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our service providers operate globally, so data may be processed in countries

other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers rely on the

providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.

12. IDENTIFICATIONS ARE NOT VALUATIONS

Identifications and estimated values are research starting points generated by

an AI model. They may be wrong. They are not a professional appraisal and should

not be relied on for insurance, sale or purchase decisions.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this

address and the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the app after

that means you accept the updated policy.
